Is your only IT administrator leaving?
When your contract with an IT provider comes to an end, the challenge is often more complicated than simply finding a replacement. The new partner must first understand the current state of your environment, how it is configured, where the access credentials are, who owns each service, and whether up-to-date backups and documentation are available.
Czech IT can take over the management of your IT, map your existing environment and establish a new way of working so that your company is no longer dependent on its previous provider.
You should continue reading when:
Your current IT administrator or provider has terminated the contract or is changing the scope of their services.
You are not satisfied with the quality of service or response times.
You want to change providers but are concerned about the handover.
You do not have up-to-date documentation.
You do not know who owns the administrator accounts.
You need to make sure that your backups actually work.
You need to verify that your licences are in order.
You are concerned that changing providers could cause an outage.
Problems when changing providers
During a handover, the following may be missing:
Documentation of the environment, including servers, networks and cloud services.
Documentation of current configurations and changes made to the environment.
Administrator accounts.
Access to company domains, DNS and licences.
An up-to-date network topology diagram.
An overview of backups, recovery procedures and records of regular recovery tests.
A list of external application providers and critical contacts.
Current providers sometimes leave services under accounts the previous provider controls. Backups then might appear to be running, but no one may have ever tested whether the data can actually be restored. In other words, your company could lose years of data.
How we take over your IT
Initial consultation
We start with an initial consultation to understand how your company operates and what you expect from the new IT provider.
Environment mapping based on the agreed scope of service, we map and review:
Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory and Azure.
Physical and virtual servers.
Networks, firewalls and Wi-Fi.
Endpoint devices.
Backup systems.
Licences.
Domains and external services or applications.
Access and ownership review
We verify whether your company has full control over its accounts, licences, domains, cloud services and other systems.
Risk assessment
We identify issues that could threaten your operations, security or ability to recover data during or after the provider transition.
Stabilisation
We provide you with all findings and audit results without changing anything in your environment.
After discussing the findings with you, we establish priorities and gradually take over individual parts of your IT. We then secure and repair them, verify your backups, add monitoring and resolve critical issues.
Documentation and ongoing management
We provide you with the audit (mapping) results and up-to-date documentation, which we maintain over time.
We always inform you about any changes made to your environment.
What you gain
Managed support for the agreed systems.
Control over your accounts and services.
A clear overview of your infrastructure.
Up-to-date documentation.
Verified status of critical backups.
A prioritised list of risks and next steps.
Clearly defined responsibilities.
A plan for ongoing management and future development.
How we ensure a smooth transition
Changing your IT provider does not have to mean rebuilding your entire IT environment immediately or making a major investment. We first stabilise and document the existing environment. Then, together, we decide what needs to be addressed immediately, what can wait and what should be planned as a separate project.
Our goal is not simply to replace your previous provider and create a new dependency on us. We aim to build an environment you understand and that can be managed, developed or handed over to another provider over the long term.
Is your current IT provider no longer able to support you? We will discuss what needs to be taken over, verified and documented so the transition can happen safely and without unnecessary downtime.
